Not only is Amazon’s Prime Day going to be a 36 hour long event, but it’s also going to include Whole Foods. It will start on July 16th at noon Pacific Time and will run through July 17th, according to their announcement.

We can expect, like usual, that there will be some great discounts on their Echo devices, and other Amazon branded items. Amazon claims to have twice the deals on Amazon devices and big savings on things like the Fire TV, Echo, and Fire Tablets.

Not only is this an extended day, but also will be available in Luxembourg, Netherlands, Singapore, and Australia.

“Prime members will enjoy a day (and a half) of our best deals, with 36 hours to shop more than 1 million deals worldwide,” said Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer. “New this year, members can shop exclusive Prime Day Launches from hundreds of brands worldwide, enjoy exclusive savings at Whole Foods Market and experience surprise entertainment events unboxed from giant Smile boxes in major cities. More than 100 million paid Prime members around the world will find our best Prime Day celebration yet.”

If you’re thinking about texting and driving, I would stop to think twice. Just pull over. Especially if you’re in the growing number of states that are putting laws in place to penalize those that text while driving.

Oregon is now implementing a new law that penalizes the distracted driver with the following:

  • $1,000 for your first offense
  • $2,500 for your second offense
  • Another $2,500 and up to 6 months of jail time for your third offense

“Distracted driving, especially with cell phones, is a major problem out on the roads. It’s contributing to an awful lot of crashes out there,” Don Hamilton, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Transportation, told KGW.

This new law isn’t just for cell phones. It also applies to computers and tablets, and even GPS devices.

The bottom line is to not drive distracted.

Welcome to Jordan 4 Fire Business Journal! This is going to be an excellent business review site. We are so excited to develop this site! We (the four of us) have been in the business world for over 122 years combined. We like to take the time to take special snapshots over many different types of businesses. We feature business in a broad sampling in order to be able to share the pros and cons of different business models. We feel that this will allow companies in unrelated fields to be able to learn from one another. In this type of learning, we are able to step out of our current trade and ask ourselves is there a better way. We have found that this type of learning yields the highest quality of learning, and more people tend to get more out of it!

Stay tuned as we develop and give our first case study business a spin! Thank you for stopping by and we are eager to get your feedback!
